Community Passion

At the Law Firm of Mark Farbman, P.A. we are passionate about helping our clients recover their power and their lives. This concern for our clients is not merely “professionalism;” it is a core value we hold and which we practice in our lives through our support of numerous activities in our community. The famous American journalist, Norman Cousins, wrote: “The individual is capable of both great compassion and great indifference. He has it within his means to nourish the former and outgrow the latter.” In other words, it is through our concern for others that we strengthen our character and our community.

Below, we want to share with you the individuals and organizations doing needed, compassionate work, each of whom deserve your encouragement and support.

Crisis Assistance Ministry Free Store
Crisis Assistance Ministry helps families maintain their dignity by providing good-quality clothes and household items -- free of charge. These savings allow people to spend their money on other basic essentials. The store is open to all those who tell us they have a need. People may return every other month. Persons who are experiencing homelessness may visit the store once per month.
WBTV - Crisis Assistance Ministry in need of furniture
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - An organization that provides free furniture to people who can't afford it, is struggling with donations. A Charlotte Doctor in Haiti » Dr. William Conner in Haiti
When Matthews based physician Will Conner decided to go to Haiti to help in any way he could, he literally answered a prayer. When Charlotte Observer reporter Franco Ordonez decided to tag along, he found out that there was such a thing as hope and joy amidst the ruins of the earthquake ravaged country. Both men share their stories and we hear from a native Haitian who is a local expert on International relations. Join us for a doctor’s journey to Haiti.
